Overview

The Spa Attendant plays a key role in creating a clean, welcoming, and luxurious environment for all guests. This position supports daily spa operations by maintaining facility cleanliness, ensuring treatment rooms and relaxation areas meet Rock Spa standards, assisting providers with setup/turnover and delivering excellent guest service with a positive, professional attitude.  

Responsibilities

Essential Duties & Responsibilities  

Guest Experience  

  • Greet guest with a warm, friendly, professional demeanor 
  • Escort guests to locker rooms, relaxation lounges, or treatment areas as needed 
  • Anticipate guest needs and offer assistance proactively  
  • Maintain a calm, spa – appropriate presence even during high volume days 
  • Support the Rock Spa culture of hospitality, consistency, and elevated service 

Spa Cleanliness & Maintenance  

  • Maintain all spa facilities including relaxation lounges, locker rooms, hallway, vanity areas, and guest touchpoints  
  • Restock amenities (Towels, robes, slippers, beverages, cups ect.)  
  • Empty trash, sanitize surfaces, and ensure laundry is completed and organized  
  • Monitor and maintain back of house cleanliness (Prep rooms, supply closets, laundry ect.) 

Treatment Room Support  

  • Flip treatment rooms between services following proper sanitation protocols 
  • Ensure each room is stocked with linens, products, equipment and supplies  
  • Assist massage therapist and estheticians with room set up or breakdown as needed 
  • Restock hot stones, remove dirty linens, refresh tables, and ensure equipment is wiped and stores properly 

 

Operations & Safety 

  • Follow all Rock Spa SOPs, sanitation policies, and safety guidelines 
  • Assist with daily opening and/or closing duties, depending on shift assignment 
  • Inventory and organize back stock of linens, products, and supplies 
  • Immediately report maintenance issues, low stock items, or safety concerns to leadership 
  • Always uphold confidentiality and professionalism 

Teamwork & Communication  

  • Communicate effectively with front desk, providers, and leadership 
  • Support the team during busy times (e.g., late guest arrivals, schedule changes, high volume days) 
  • Maintain a positive, can-do attitude and willingness to help wherever needed 
  • Attend required trainings, and meetings 

 

Qualifications

Qualifications  

  • Prior spa, or hospitality experience preferred but not required 
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining clean, organized spaces 
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and be on feet for long periods  
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills  
  • Must be reliable, punctual, and willing to follow direction
