Overview

POSITION SUMMARY:

 

This position is responsible for assisting in maintaining the overall operations of the Security Department.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Conducts themselves in accordance with all Virginia Lottery policies and procedures.
  • Reviews all incident reports submitted for accuracy.
  • Communicates with guests and employees a positive manner, both in oral and written form.
  • Writes incident reports and conducts investigations as assigned.
  • Maintains a high level of key control for the facility.
  • Prepares daily work schedules.
  • Evaluates his subordinate’s job duties.
  • Coordinates emergency situations.
  • Attends meetings as required.
  • Sets up and provides training.
  • Implements systems to ensure compliance with all Virginia Lottery and company/departmental policies and procedures.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required, some college preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of Security Management experience in a high-volume casino/hotel complex environment or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATION:

  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, and Word is required.
  • Good communication skills
  • Must be able to promote an outgoing, friendly customer-oriented personality at all times.
  • Must provide adequate protection for the safety and assets of patrons, employees, and the company.
  • Must be able to handle emergency situations calmly.
  • Must have a valid motor vehicle license with a good driving record.
  • Must be computer literate.
  • Duties and responsibilities are typically performed on the Casino Floor in a fast-paced, guest-smoking environment, with constant exposure to public and excessive noise.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, talk, or hear; and taste or smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
