This position is responsible for assisting in maintaining the overall operations of the Security Department.
Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Conducts themselves in accordance with all Virginia Lottery policies and procedures.
Reviews all incident reports submitted for accuracy.
Communicates with guests and employees a positive manner, both in oral and written form.
Writes incident reports and conducts investigations as assigned.
Maintains a high level of key control for the facility.
Prepares daily work schedules.
Evaluates his subordinate’s job duties.
Coordinates emergency situations.
Attends meetings as required.
Sets up and provides training.
Implements systems to ensure compliance with all Virginia Lottery and company/departmental policies and procedures.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required, some college preferred
Minimum 2 years of Security Management experience in a high-volume casino/hotel complex environment or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATION:
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, and Word is required.
Good communication skills
Must be able to promote an outgoing, friendly customer-oriented personality at all times.
Must provide adequate protection for the safety and assets of patrons, employees, and the company.
Must be able to handle emergency situations calmly.
Must have a valid motor vehicle license with a good driving record.
Must be computer literate.
Duties and responsibilities are typically performed on the Casino Floor in a fast-paced, guest-smoking environment, with constant exposure to public and excessive noise.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, talk, or hear; and taste or smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
