ASST EXEC - STEWARD

Incumbent oversees the cleaning, supplying and serving functions of the Stewards.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Exhibit conduct in accordance with all Virginia Lottery Regulations and Virginia Health departmental policies and procedures.
• Responsible for routine inspections to ensure the adherence to Virginia Health department codes.
• Sustains and improves cleanliness and sanitation along with knowledge of proper usage and maintenance of all equipment.
• Performs all supervisory functions and directs department staff in accordance with personnel guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
  
  

QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or GED required, as well as a minimum of 5 years management experience in the food and beverage area or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have proven track record in a high volume capacity preferably in a management position.
• Proven track record in business management, purchasing and record keeping required.
• Must have knowledge of cleaning chemicals, food service equipment and china, glass, flatware and linen and have strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Proficiency in Excel and Word software programs required.
• Must acquire Serve Safe and HACCP certification

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

• The Casino environment is hectic, fast-paced and often crowded and noisy. May be exposed to casino related environmental factors including, but not limited to, second hand smoke, excessive noise and constant exposure to general public. 
• Must be able to communicate effectively with guests in English, specific to position duties and responsibilities.
